its a strangely small world out there moonbuns. i was interested in zeppelins for a few weeks and voila one opped up in the skies above london .. and i have lived here for 5 years

I don't think it is at all shocking to remember someone you liked. Schoolgirl crushes don't detract from it. His daughter, his legacy to life, will at some future date be pleased her dad was liked. It is an honour to his memory.

There is a lot of sickness on the go and it is yucky.

Re your sleep patterns. Don't stress over it, go with the flow. Your body obviously tells you when you need to crash out. It's just the way it is.

Some of the most famous people have been erratic or light sleepers, needing only short periods of it. You might be one of those people. If you are, remember me sometime!

sorry as i said in my post, i'm not fluent so i'm not totally sure exactly what you are saying in either of your replies. i think in your other comment you said that it is alive and well in the gaeltacht and taught well there (which i did say in my posts) but for my friends and me in the various schools we went to (quite a variety of schools as we are in different areas and counties) it is taught badly, not necessarily because of bad teachers but because of a bad system.
also in this comment do you say "why don't we talk about irish"? I agree!
but what do you mean by "ag deanamh amach gur beidh as tír eile sibh". my problem with irish is that i understand individual words but put them together and i am lost.

Perhaps familiar is not the word ,I did some research on the subject and I must say I am surprised.The traditional gives way to contemporary mixture of American country music ,reggae and even Quebecois music.I shall blame it to the Canadian link , that reminded me of Loreena McKennitt,an artist I admire.
The answer to your second question question is here: if Ireland is on the western end of the EU then my home country is on the very opposite end of EU... and Dracula does not live in my home country is the other hint.Germans come to ski and Russians come to get sun tan .

the only thing i can think of is that these people (who scarily included some women) have serious delusions or a genuinely distorted view of women and body image and normality has become disgusting to them. all these reports in magazines etc. of someone looking too skinny are just saying what they know people want them to say but really they think they look great, and the very fact that these images of underweight girls are printed so often (whatever the article says about it being bad), means it becomes the most common example of what a woman looks like and therefore, by default, the new ideal. that's my theory anyway.
